In this workshop, you will learn about the Skype chat program so you can stay connected with family and friends who live far away!

Skype is a little piece of software that lets you make free calls to people all over the world using Voice over the Internet. No matter your comfort or confidence with technology, know that Skype is easy to download, install, and use.
Participants should bring a laptop, iPad, iPhone, or Android already installed with Skype. Please call Robin Shtulman at the Athol Library if you would like help installing Skype.
If you have friends and family who are already using Skype, bring a few Skype contacts to put into your contact list so you can try to call them during the workshop. Bring a microphone, webcam or headset, if you have one..
Topics covered will be based on the needs of the participants and can include:
- How to set up Skype on a Mac, PC, iPad, iPhone, Android…
- How to use Skype and what it can do
- How to find people on Skype
- Personal Uses for Skype
- Professional Uses for Skype
- Educational Uses for Skype
