Ellen Allard, the Gluten Free Diva, is a recipe developer, food writer, and food photographer. In September 2012, she will complete her training at the well-respected Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC where she will graduate as a Certified Health & Wellness Coach.

In addition to posting on her upbeat gluten free blog about gluten free and dairy free recipes, Ellen is currently working with clients to help them achieve optimal health through informed food and lifestyle choices that include but aren?t limited to gluten free and dairy free diets. Ellen also communicates her enthusiasm through teaching gluten free cooking and baking classes that inspire, encourage, and empower people to change their diets and improve their lives. In addition to her blog writing, she extolls the benefits of a gluten free, dairy free lifestyle for numerous print and online publications. Five of Ellen?s recipes are included in the forthcoming

3-in-1 Gluten-Free Cookbook, due out in February 2012, published by Publications International.

Ellen started her blog in January 2006 shortly after being diagnosed with Celiac Disease, an autoimmune disorder once considered rare but now believed to affect 1 out of every 133 people. Six months prior to that, she had been diagnosed with Alopecia, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss. After her Celiac Disease diagnosis, she began connecting the dots, realizing that she had lived with stomachaches, headaches, hair loss, muscle aches, mood swings, and intense non-stop hunger for her entire life, all because of undiagnosed Celiac Disease.

Ellen has embraced this gluten free, dairy free way of eating and cooking with unbridled enthusiasm and a dedication to sharing her love of all things food and optimal health with others.
