Dear PC Doctor:

How do I change my email address in my Fitbit account? I originally signed up for a work challenge and used my work email. That’s over, and I want to switch to my personal email address.

Dear Walkin’ Man:

If you are using Fitbit on a mobile device, first make sure you have updated your Fitbit app. Open the updated app. Tap your profile picture in the upper left-hand corner of your screen. Scroll down until you see Account Settings. Open Account Settings. Tap Change Email. You will be prompted to enter your password and your new preferred email address. Fitbit will send a confirmation email; once you reply to it, you should be all set.

If you are using the desktop version, start at your dashboard. Look on the right for the picture that looks like a grey ID card. Click it. Scroll down until you see the words Security and Login. When you click Security and Login, you will see the option to change your email address.
