Join local author John Chetro Szivos for an interactive discussion on critical thinking.

The presentation will focus on skills you can apply professionally and personally to improve your life.

We will address the trap of automatic thinking and overcoming obstacles to our thinking.

We can all learn to become critical thinkers, and you will likely leave the presentation with new ideas and insights.

Szivos has been featured on multiple major media outlets and podcasts, discussing how anyone can benefit from improving their critical thinking skills and sharing ideas and tips that people can adopt. Come and join us for a potentially life-changing evening.

John Chetro Szivos holds a Ph.D. in communication from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, an MBA degree, and master’s degree in counseling. He has filled the titles of Full Professor and Dean at universities in the United States.

Before he worked in academia he served as the CEO of a behavioral health care organization and has consulted to businesses and NGOs across the globe. His consultations include the World Health Organization along with several other high-profile organizations. In his consultation roles he provided assistance with communication, planning, leadership development, and critical thinking.

He has served as a keynote speaker of a variety of topics to Tianjin Medical University, University of Massachusetts Medical School, the Society for Professional Communicators, and served as the Graduation Speaker for Spoleczna Akademia Nauck (School of Social Science) in Warsaw, Poland.

He has authored ten journal articles, six book chapters, numerous book reviews and conference presentations and three books.

He lives in Massachusetts with his wife and remains an active scholar.
