Artist’s Reception February 6 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m

Jenny Gabrenas is a self-taught artist who has been living in the Athol/Orange area in Massachusetts for over 20 years, after growing up on a small farm in Greenfield.

Creativity was always important to her but she became more serious as her children grew up. Needing an outlet for her loving energy, Jenny started HeavenSpirit Creations in 2006 with fabric Spirit Dolls, which became very popular. Finding that working the tiny stitches into fabric was not a good fit due to her health, she started to concentrate her artistic energies in painting. Starting in 2014, working in mixed media and focusing in acrylics, Jenny’s ideal canvas has been one that creates joy or well-being in some way. She strives to spread love and a sense of belonging thru her artwork. One of Jenny’s current interests is to bring spirit animals, or animal messengers, to life on the canvas.

The exhibit, in the library conference room, will be on view from February 2 - 28. A reception will be held on Tuesday, February 6, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.
