Dear PC Doctor,

How do I make icons bigger on my desktop?  I don't want to make them all bigger, just one or two important ones that I use often and would like to be able to easily find.

          Thanks, Mark

Dear Mark,

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to make individual icons bigger; it's either all or none.  However, there is an option to add programs to the Quick Launch Toolbar, which is right next to the Microsoft Start button.

First make sure the Quick Launch Toolbar is set up.  Right-click on a blank spot on your toolbar (bar at the bottom of your screen) and mouse over “Toolbars” and then click “Quick Launch” to enable it.  If there's already a check next to the setting it's already turned on.

To add an icon to the Quick Launch toolbar, click and drag the program icon down with the left mouse button to area next to the Start button.  When the blue arrow appears let go of the mouse button.  Whenever you want to use your favorite programs just click the icon next to the Start button!

To remove an icon from the Quick Launch toolbar, right-click the icon in the toolbar and select Delete.  This will only delete the icon from the toolbar and won't remove the program from your computer.

         Good luck! PC Doctor

Until next time…happy computing!
