Temporary Library Hours Experiment!

Funded by the Friends of the Athol Public Library

The Friends of the Athol Public Library have raised enough money to try out some new hours to determine library usage patterns to recommend to the town funding sources.

From April 26 through June 21, the Athol Public Library will be open until 8:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 9:30 - 1:30 on Saturdays.

We will have an electronic people counter at the door and staff will keep a tally at the circulation desks.  We will use these to get an accurate picture of how many patrons use the library at these times.

Please remember that this is a trial period only, funded by the Friends.  Then, it will be up to the town to provide the funds to continue with the new hours.
