How does one become a compassionate person?
In this book, the Dalai Lama shows how we can open our hearts and develop true compassion toward all beings. In Buddhism, compassion is the wish that all beings be free from suffering. How can we cultivate an attitude of gentleness and acceptance of others?
The 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, is a Buddhist monk and the spiritual leader of Tibet. George Roix, our discussion group facilitator, is a therapist and was trained in Catholic meditation. George has a strong interest in mindfulness and stress reduction and invites any interested members of the community to join the discussion.
Join us for a thought-provoking and open conversation on Tuesday, September 30th in the Athol Library Conference Room.
