Adult Summer Reading
Summer reading is for grown-ups, too!
Welcome to Summer Reading 2024! We’re excited to announce this summer’s theme of Read, Renew, Repeat! We hope you’ll join us.
As always, everything we offer is free and open to the public, though some activities require advance registration.
Visit athol.librarycalendar.com or click the event title for details and registration.
We've created two different challenges so that everyone has a chance to participate the way they wish. Choose the method that works best for you! Both win raffle tickets towards great prizes.
For our Virtual Challenge, log in to Beanstack at https://athollibrary.beanstack.org/reader365 or download the free app from your favorite app store. Log the books you read following the onscreen instructions. You can also win digital badges for reading and participating in library activities. Reading and attending fun library activities both earn you raffle tickets for our weekly prize drawings.
Visit the library to pick up your Bingo card if you want to participate in our paper Visitors' Challenge. Earn a raffle ticket to our weekly prize drawings for each book you read! Participate in fun activities to complete as many Bingos as you can! For each activity & each Bingo you complete, earn a raffle ticket towards the next drawing!
The more you read, the more chances to win!
READ: Not only is reading good for us, reading is a joy! This is the heart and soul of why public libraries are flourishing in the 21st century. Reading is a restorative method of self-conservation and self-care for all ages.
RENEW: Our summer activities will renew our sense of wonder and community, and encourage us to think about how we can help our planet and all who live within it.
REPEAT: We hope our summer reading offerings will inspire you to adopt habits and practices that you will want to return to again and again.
