Teen LEGO Animated Films

LEGO people with a LEGO Camera and LEGO bricks.

Check out the awesome stop motion films created with LEGOs at our teen LEGO animation workshop!

This summer, teens participated in a four day long LEGO animation workshop at the library. The group learned about filming techniques such as frames per second, composition, and lighting. They created story boards and built sets out of the library's expansive collection of LEGO bricks. Then they spent a day shooting individual pictures and moving pieces bit by bit to achieve a stop motion effect. On the last day of the workshop, the teens spent the afternoon editing their films and adding sound effects before showing off their creations.

You can watch their finished films on the library's youtube channel.
