Program: Go Green with Julie: A Green Smoothie Demo & Tasting

Attention Veggie Lovers!
Join the Athol Public Library at 568 Main Street, Athol, on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., when we welcome Julie, the “Happy Veg Head” for her program, Go Green with Julie!
Learn how to get started creating green smoothies. Learn about the incredible health benefits of superfoods. During this program, Julie discusses the basics of making a green smoothie, what foods you can use in your smoothies and why they are good for you. There will be a handout that includes helpful tips to getting started and recipes. By incorporating a green smoothie into your daily diet you will receive increased energy and overall improved health and well-being.
Julie will also show the audience how to make the smoothies, and she will pass out smoothie samples to everyone.
Julie is a vegan and she has a blog, Happy Veg Head, where she shares her recipes, views on healthy living, and her views on veganism. Julie has a degree in art. She is a dancer, and has recently moved to the town of Harvard, MA with her cat, Naan, dog, Spec, and her husband.
