Dear PC Doctor:

Is there a way to force quit programs that won’t close on a Mac?  I used to have an HP laptop and it was Control-Alt-Delete.  Now I have a Mac and I realize I don’t know how to do it.  Last night, some programs froze and the only way I had to get out of them was to shut down the computer.  Are there keyboard commands like that for Apple?

Thanks,

      Rob

Dear Rob:

Yes!  If programs on your Mac freeze and won’t respond, you can hold down three keys at the same time to get them to force quit.  They are:  Option, Command, and Escape.

Until next time,

Happy Computing!
