Program: Current Climate Change Research at the Poles

Athol High School teacher Lynne Stopen will give a slide presentation “Current Research at the Poles.”

 

Ms. Stopen recently studied Polar Research at the University of Massachusetts  with the Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics group, (STEM), funded by the National Science Foundation.  STEM provides professional development for teachers. 

Lynne will discuss what scientists now know about global climate change and specific changes that are happening and visible in the arctic.

This event is free and open to the public.

Presented as part of the Athol Public Library's 'How Green is My Library' LSTA grant.  This federally funded LSTA grant is administered by the Mass. Board of Library Commissioners.
