Call for Local Authors! Deadline Extended!

We still have a few slots left for the Expo! Call the library today for more information.

Applications are available at the Adult Circulation Desk at the Athol Public Library and at www.athollibrary.org.
Are you a local author?  Do you have a book you’d like to share with our community?  Contact us and join our Expo.
At the Expo, you will have the opportunity to meet writers from just around the corner, discuss books, the writing process, & how you’ve gotten published.  You will get to chat with interested local readers, and sell and sign copies of your books.  Authors will have an opportunity to read excerpts of their work to the audience, beginning at 5:30.  Readings will be followed by free time in which authors and attendees will be invited to interact (and shop!).
We ask that 5% of your sales at the Expo be donated to the Friends of the Athol Public Library.
The Local Author Expo will be held at the Athol Public Library at 568 Main Street, Athol, from 5:30—7:00 pm on October 13th.  All local authors wishing to participate must be available that evening.  We ask that authors arrive by 5:15 for set-up.
Interested?  Come to the library to pick up an application form or download one from our website.  On the application, please let us know if you’d like to read a brief excerpt of your work to the audience.
Due to limited space, we can only accommodate 12 authors.  Participants will be selected by a jury process.
