Dear PC Doctor:
I am struggling to create a resume. I don’t have my own computer and, every time I work on my resume on a new device, the formatting changes. I am hand doing everything and it just doesn’t look as nice as I want it to. In this day and age, aren’t there online, free resume templates that I can work on that will look good?
Thank you,
Trish
Dear Trish:
There are quite a few!
One of the easiest to access is Google Resume Builder. To use it, you will need a google account. Sign up for that, and then follow the prompts on screen. You will have to allow the app access to your information to get started. Then, fill in the blanks on the forms and pull-down menus. Include all of your contact information and pertinent jobs and skills.
When you are done, click “Save and Choose a Template.” You may want to create a fancier resume later, but this one creates a clean, nicely formatted resume that will look the same wherever you view or print it.
Good luck with your job search!
Until next time,
Happy Computing!
