Read aloud to elementary or middle school students!
Volunteer for Community Reading Day!
Community Reading Day is an annual event where volunteers from the community volunteer to read aloud to elementary and middle school classrooms in the district.
Volunteers are needed to read to
ELEMENTARY classes on Tuesday, October 26th (arrive at 8:45 a.m.)
and
MIDDLE SCHOOL classes on Monday, October 25th
(takes place throughout the day)
In keeping with this years' bee theme, elementary school readers will read The Very Greedy Bee, by Steve Smallman and The Bee Tree, by Patricia Polacco. Readers reading in middle school classes will read a selection from The Hive Detectives, by Loree Griffin.
Middle school English Teachers will have copies of The Hive Detective, and the two books for elementary school volunteers will be handed out at the:
ORIENTATION SESSION for readers, which will be held for volunteer readers at the library on Tuesday, October 19th at 6:30p.m.
