Learn the basics of birding and how to make your backyard a haven for wildlife In collaboration with the Mt. Grace Land Conservation Trust, the Athol Public Library will present a Beginning Bird Watching and Native Landscaping Workshop In this interactive workshop, Mount Grace AmeriCorps volunteers Gwen Kozlowski and Jason Rhoades will explain the basics of bird watching.
This will be followed in the second half of the workshop by an exploration of the importance of native landscaping and specific ways to attract wildlife to your backyard and promote the health of our local environment.
During this program, we will learn about:

What birds are likely to be seen in our area

Where to see birds

What to plant to attract birds to your yard
