Freegal is free, and legal, and offers public library users access to hundreds of thousands of songs in Sony’s catalog.

Athol Public Library has joined Library Ideas' network of Public Library websites that offer Freegal, which gives library patrons access to songs from Sony Music's catalog of legendary artists.

The service will allow the Athol Public Library to increase the size and diversity of its collection by offering access to hundreds of thousands of songs.

Under the terms of the agreement, registered card holders of the Athol Public Library may download 3 Sony Music tracks in the MP3 format each week at no direct cost via www.athollibrary.org.

You will need an Athol Library card and an e-mail address to use this service.
