Beginning September 1, the Athol Public Library will circulate e-readers!
eReaders are Here!
Linda Bramhall, above, was the very first patron to borrow an eReader from the APL !
"We are very excited to have a generous donor and the Friends provide us with the means to offer e-readers to our patrons. It gives people a chance to test drive them prior to purchasing or just to satisfy their curiosity about these new formats for enjoying reading." says Library Director Deb Blanchard.
There will be three Nooks and three Kindles. Athol Library cardholders who are over 18 years old, and whose accounts are in good standing may borrow the Nooks and Kindles. They can be taken home for up to 14 days. Due to demand, they cannot be renewed.
Currently, the Nooks are loaded with the next four Mystery Discussion group titles, and the Kindles with the next four “Booked for Lunch” titles. You do not have to be a member of either discussion group to borrow the devices.
The Nooks and Kindles are being made available to Athol Library patrons through a generous and anonymous donation to the Friends of the Athol Public Library.
Please call the library at 978-249-9515 for more information and to sign up to borrow an e-reader!
