Dear PC Doctor:
I use the library system’s Libby app to borrow digital audiobooks on my phone. Sometimes, there are lots of books I want to listen to. Sometimes, I just can’t think of any. If I place holds on them all on the same day when I have them in my mind, they all arrive in a heap and I don’t have time to listen to them. Is there a way to make lists in Libby so I can remember what I want and place the holds when I am ready?
Thanks,
Audiobook Listener
Dear Audio:
Libby is a free app from which can borrow ebooks, digital audiobooks, and magazines from your public library. You can stream titles with Wi-Fi or mobile data, or download them for offline use and read anytime, anywhere. All you need to get started is a library card
When you’re signed in to your Libby account, search for a title you’d like to add to your list. Underneath the picture of the book cover, you’ll see three options: Borrow (if it’s currently available), Play Sample, and Tag. If you want to listen to the book now, tap Borrow. If you’re not sure you want to listen to the book, you can tap Play Sample and listen to a little bit of it. If you want to add the title to your list of items to request later, tap Tag. You’ll get a screen that asks you to choose the tag. If you already have some tags set up, tap the one you want to use. If you want to create a new list, tap New Tag. You will be prompted to give the tag a name and description. The tag will show only in your Libby account, so it can be anything that is meaningful to you (wish list; to read; favorites; recommended by Mom; etc.) To see the titles on your tagged list, tap the image of the stack of books that’s on the bottom of your Libby screen. Then, tap the word Tags. Tap the tag (or list) that you wish to view.
I hope this helps!
Until next time,
Happy Computing!
