FREE UMass Fine Arts Center Tickets!

Athol Library Selected to Participate Once Again

Free Fine Arts Center tickets!

The Athol Public Library, along with the Wheeler Memorial Library in Orange, the New Salem Library, and the Wendell Library, has been selected to help broaden access to the arts through the Angel Ticket program at Fine Arts Center at U Mass Amherst. Complimentary tickets are available for select performances this season!

Come by the library for a list of the performances or check out the FAC’s website at fac.umass.edu. Sign up for an event (at the library) and a librarian will show you how to claim your voucher.

We are grateful to the Fine Arts Center for making this amazing cultural opportunity available for our communities.

Note: The first performance for which we have vouchers is October 28. You could experience Jennifer Koh: Bach and Beyond for free!

Born in Chicago of Korean parents, Ms. Koh began playing the violin by chance, choosing the instrument in a Suzuki-method program only because spaces for cello and piano had been filled. She made her debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at age 11. She has been honored as “A Force of Nature” by the American Composers Orchestra and Musical America’s 2016 Instrumentalist of the Year. Ms. Koh was a top prize winner at Moscow’s International Tchaikovsky Competition, winner of the Concert Artists Guild Competition, and a recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant.

Please come to the upstairs circulation desk soon if you would like these tickets! (We have a very limited supply.)
