The Athol Public Library and Hero Shack Press are teaming up to host their first ever Comic Book Fest. The Athol Town Hall and library will be transformed into a comic book lover’s dream. With comics, artist panels, vendors, cosplay, games, crafts, and more there will be something for everyone at this family friendly event.

Christopher and Diana Tamulevich, the team behind Hero Shack Press, have been inviting and collaborating with comic book creators and artists from the North Quabbin area and all over New England. Many of the participating artists will have works to display and sell during the event.

During the festival there will also be special panels, demonstrations, and events. Heroes in training can take on a special obstacle course provided by the YMCA, and gear up by designing their own masks, capes, and accessories in the “Hero Zone.” Holeymoleys Comics & Collectibles and His & Hers Comics will be selling pop culture items including mainstream comics while the Friends of the Athol Public Library will be selling gently used books at the library. There will be free games and crafts for all ages as well as chances to earn raffle tickets throughout the day. Guests are also encouraged to show off their favorite cosplay or costume and join a special parade with the DressUp Dreamers. Find out more about the event.
