Dear PC Doctor:

I have a new Nintendo Switch that I love playing! It works great on my tv but, when I brought it to a friend’s house and we connected it to her LCD projector, we couldn’t get sound. Can you help?

Dear Dancing:

I asked around and looked at a few troubleshooting websites and I wonder if these will help.

First, check if your software is updated. Check your Switch for a firmware update. You can also go to System Settings from your Home Screen, select System, select Mute when Headphones are Disconnected and turn it OFF. If none of these work, it may be that the projector and the switch just can’t communicate. It’s possible that this can be corrected by using an HDMI splitter between them. HDMI splitters are small devices that make it possible to transmit audio-visual data between devices. You can read more about HDMI splitters here: https://hometheateracademy.com/hdmi-splitters/

I hope this helps!

Until next time,
Happy Dancing!
