Working Toward Justice on the Land: A North Quabbin Conversation
Wednesday, June 14 @ 7:00 pm
Join us for a roundtable-style discussion about the past, present, and possible futures of land stewardship and use in our rural area. Panelists will share ideas about their own work and visions for what it means to work toward justice in relationship with land, including through farming, food, and projects of remediation, conservation, and rematriation.
Local organizations that are grappling with these issues will be present and will share some of their thought processes and current actions.
Our panelists will include:
Jenn Albertine, Climate and Land Justice Specialist/Conservation and Stewardship Associate, Mount Grace Land Trust, Athol
Michael Del Rio, Farmer Teacher, the Farm School, Athol
Nalini Goordial, Owner, Kitchen Wizardry, Orange
Deb Habib, Co-Founder, Seeds of Solidarity Education Center and Farm, Orange
Cathy Stanton of the Quabbin Food Connector will moderate.
