Dear PC Doctor,

I'm sick of ads! It seems that no matter where I go online, there is an ad.  Is there a way to block ads in Mozilla Firefox?

Dear Richard,

Ever present advertisements are definitely something that seems to plague every corner of the internet.  Fortunately, for you, there is a way to block advertisements in Firefox!  Firefox includes the capability to install “Add-ons” that enhance your browsing experience.

Open your Firefox web browser and in your address bar type www.addons.mozilla.org.   When the site loads, search for “Adblock Plus.”  Click the first one on the list and then click the green button labeled “Add to Firefox.”   A new window will appear asking for your permission to install the Add-on. Click Install Now.  When it is finished, you will see an installation confirmation. Enjoy an ad-free internet!

Chrome users; check out AdBlock in the Chrome web store for your ad blocking needs.   Internet Explorer users: since I cannot convince you to switch to Chrome or Firefox, search for Simple Adblock at www.iegallery.com
