Art Exhibit: Celtic Visions by Lahri Bond, January - March 2024

Join us at 6:00 pm on February 20 in the library's conference room as featured artist Lahri Bond shares the stories and folklore that inspire his paintings.

Lahri Bond is a designer, illustrator, writer, and teacher living and working in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. He illustrates and designs magazines, posters, books, and CD covers. For 20 years, he was the Art Director of Dirty Linen: The Magazine of Folk and World Music, and is currently the Art Director of Voice Male magazine.

Bond has designed concert posters for the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton, MA; the Colonial Theatre and the Arts Center at Brickyard Pond, Keene, NH; and the “Music at the Osbourne” series by the Edinburgh Folk Club in Scotland. His illustrations can be found in the books Spinning Tales, Weaving Hope: Stories of Peace, Justice and the Environment by the Stories For World Change Network; Living with Autism by Kathleen M. Dillon; and Experiential Anatomy in the Training of Young Dancers.

Lahri teaches drawing, design, and illustration at Holyoke Community College and in the summers can be found teaching alongside his wife Deborah Bazer at their Kids, Art & Nature summer camps in Amherst, MA.

The reception and storytelling event will be held in the library's conference room. Registration is not required.
