June 23 - August 15
Take your summer fun to a whole new level at the Athol Public Library!
Activities and prizes for every age!
The library’s free, all-ages summer reading program begins on June 23 and runs through August 15. During these eight weeks, the library will host a range of free activities for children, teens, and adults to encourage and support a love of reading. Participants can win prizes for reaching their reading goals.
Our theme for this summer is Level Up at Your Library – and our calendar is full of opportunities to learn, gain new skills, and play! Whether you’re exploring cool new crafts, marveling at wild birds of prey, checking out some fascinating bugs, or playing board and video games, Level Up at Your Library reminds us that libraries are places for fun, personal growth, learning, thinking, and making friends.
We’ve planned an amazing summer of fun for library users of all ages. Check out all the great things you can do and win at our library this summer! You can view our full calendar of free activities at https://athol.librarycalendar.com/.
Beanstack, a web and mobile app, is back with new challenges for everyone. To sign up, visit athollibrary.beanstack.org, choose a challenge based on the reader’s age and get ready to track reading, complete activities, earn badges, and win prizes! In addition to the virtual Beanstack challenges, we have in-person and on-paper challenges.
Please give us a call at 978-249-9515 with any questions you have!
The Massachusetts Statewide Summer Library Program is funded by the Friends of the Athol Public Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Athol Cultural Council, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
