Dear PC Doctor:
I have a Facebook question. How can you block individual people from tagging you in posts? Also, block individual people from posting to your wall? Not everyone, just one specific person on your friends list that is a sweetheart but seems to post things 20 times a day and tags every single friend.
Signed,
Need a Break
Dear Need a Break:
You can control who can tag you on Facebook. Log in to your account. Under the little upside down triangle icon, choose Settings. Then choose Timeline and Tagging. In the box that opens, choose Review. Click Edit next to Review posts you’re tagged in before the post appears on your timeline. Use the drop down menu and choose Enabled. Your friend will still be able to tag you, but you will get to decide which tags appear on your timeline.
Underneath Timeline and Tagging, there is an option for Blocking. Click Blocking. If you enter the person’s name under Block users, they won’t be able to tag you anymore. But, they also won’t be able to see your timeline. It sounds like you don’t want to go that far.
Another option would be to unfollow your friend. To do this, navigate to that friend’s page and click where it says Following. Choose Unfollow. You won’t see that person’s posts anymore.
I hope this helps!
Until next time,
Happy Computing!
