Drop in Button Making
Tuesday, February 17, 3:30pm-4:30pm
Stop by the teen space to create your own pin back buttons. Bring a design to cut out or use images provided by the library. Each participant can make up to five buttons while
supplies last.
No registration required. Ages 12-18.
Athol Knights Chess Club
Tuesday, February 18, 6:00pm-7:45pm
Join coaches Dave and Clint for an evening of chess at the library. Learn the classic game from experienced players or find new opponents to challenge. All ages willing to learn are welcome.
No registration required. All ages.
Volunteer Opportunity: Cards for Seniors
Wednesday, February 18, 3pm-5pm
Join us at the Athol Public Library's Teen Space to earn volunteer hours and spread joy in our community. We'll working together to create greeting cards and notes for local senior citizens. All of the materials you need will be on hand along with examples to inspire you. Once we're done the Athol Council on Aging will help us distribute the cards.
Can't make it? We'll also be working on cards on Monday, February 23, from 3:30-5:30pm. Come to one or both.
No registration is required to attend, but we ask that you sign in when you arrive if you are hoping to have your volunteer hours verified.
Hide and Seek
Thursday, February 19, 6:15pm-7:30pm
The teen favorite is back! The library will be closed, the lights will be off, and the hiding spots will be waiting. Challenge each other and staff to find the best hiding place in the library while enjoying multiple variations on the traditional game.
Please arrive on time - doors will be locked once the program has started to ensure safety. Parents and guardians will not be permitted in the building during the program - please plan accordingly.
Registration required. Ages 12-18.
Snow date will be February 26.
Tabletop Games
Friday, February 20, 3:00pm-4:00pm
Drop by the library's Teen Space to play some tabletop games together. We'll have board games like Clue and Battlesheep, card games like UNO and Exploding Kittens, and party games like the Family Editions of What Do You Meme? and Cards Against Humanity. Bring a friend, drop by, and join the fun.
No registration required. Ages 12-18.
