Genetically Modified Organisms Film Screening and Moderated Discussion
Have you ever wondered what's in your food? You see the acronym, "GMO," everywhere but, what does it mean?
Bring your questions to the Athol Library on January 29, when there will be a free screening of the movie, ”Genetic Roulette.” The film focuses on the documented human health risks from eating genetically-engineered foods, or genetically-modified organisms. Featured is consumer advocate Jeffrey Smith of the Institute for Responsible Technology.
The movie will be followed by a discussion led by Jack Kitteredge of the Northeast Organic Farming Association.
This program is made possible with funds from the Friends of the Athol Public Library.
