Dear PC Doctor:

My granddaughter says, when she calls me, she can’t leave a message. She said my voicemail isn’t set up. How can I set up the voicemail for my LG cell phone? And then, can you tell me how to check my messages?

Dear Jan:

To set up voicemail on your LG phone, please do the following: Go to your Home screen. Tap the little green telephone. Then, either dial *86 or hold down your 1 key. This will dial your voicemail mailbox. Listen to the prompts and follow the steps that you hear. You will be asked to choose a password and record an outgoing message.

To listen to any voicemails that you receive, start by going to your Home screen. Tap the green phone picture. Dial *86 or hold down the 1 key. Enter your password when prompted. You will then hear your messages.
