Video Game Tournament

Participants will compete playing retro video games. The player who lasts the longest will win a gift certificate to Never Grow Up of Athol.

Acrobat Li Liu

Liu will demonstrate hand balancing, plate spinning, trick cycling, foot juggling, ribbon dancing, and more! The audience will also get a hands-on opportunity to try some of the more accessible tricks Liu demonstrates. Liu has performed in several popular venues including Princess Cruise Lines, the NBA and WNBA halftime circuits, and on the David Letterman show. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Athol Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.


Paul McNiff’s Hot Wheels STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Challenge
July 18, 1 pm – 2 pm

Learn about energy, forces, and motion by building the fastest speedway possible. Participants also learn scientific and engineering practices such as analyzing and interpreting data. This workshop is brought to you with federal funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
