Athol Public Library Announces Fine Free Weeks!

Saturday, December 22 through Saturday, January 5.

The Athol Public Library trustees voted to waive overdue fines on materials returned between Saturday 12/22/18, and Saturday, 1/5/19.

“We have had a great response to our fine free Wednesdays and Saturdays, and we’re delighted to expand this offering as we enter the new year,” said the library’s assistant director, Robin Shtulman. “If you have any library items that are overdue, we hope you’ll bring them back. If you feel shy, pop them into one of our book drops. As long as it comes back to us between December 22 and January 5, we'll waive the overdue fees, no questions asked! We want everyone to feel welcome in the library.”

Unfortunately, we cannot waive fines on equipment, out of C/W MARS Inter-Library Loan items, or fines accrued for items already returned.
