Creative Crafting for Adults: Magazine Silhouettes!
Wednesday, 9/18, from 6:30 to 8:30, or Saturday, 9/21 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Registration is required. Please choose one session.
Are you ready to get crafty??? We are excited to announce a new season of Creative Crafting, a monthly series of workshops for adults lead by Emily and Robin Brz. The classes, which began in 2017, offer step-by-step instruction and all the materials necessary to complete a variety of trendy and unique projects. Careful thought is given to types of activities selected, taking into consideration the cost and availability of materials and the complexity of the skills required. Our mission is two-fold: to introduce new techniques in a fun and relaxed atmosphere and provide everyone the opportunity to leave with a complete, although not necessarily perfect, project.
The workshops have proven to be one of our most popular features for adults with classes regularly filling up within days of registration opening. The overwhelming interest has prompted the addition of a second monthly session, doubling the number of crafters served. Each month the workshops will run on a Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and on a Saturday morning from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Class size is limited and registration is necessary for every class. Adults can sign up for one session each month.
The season begins on Wednesday, September 18, and Saturday, September 21, with Magazine Silhouettes. Most projects require a willingness to experiment, and a degree of comfort with skills like cutting, folding, and gluing. Making No Sew Sock Owls, Mini Photo Albums, and Woodland Ornaments are just a few of the activities that you can look forward to this year.
Registration for the September workshops is now open. The classes, which are generously funded by the Friends of the Athol Library, are free and open to the public. Call 978-249-9515 or stop by to make your reservation today!
