Happy New Year! We made it through the holidays and for many our thoughts turn to resolutions. No matter what your goals are – to be more patient, to improve a relationship, to learn a new language or, simply to enjoy life more – a vision board can help.
A vision board is a visual representation of your goals, and it turns out that putting them on paper in a visual format can actually help you achieve them! Popular with celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon, there’s also plenty of research to back it up. According to Psychology Today, mental practices, (like visualization) ,can increase motivation, confidence, and even motor performance.
It's also a fun arts and crafts project that allows you to see what your goals can look like once you achieve them. After you register, Robin will email you a worksheet that will help you prepare for the workshop by identifying your goals in different areas of your life. This guided hands - on workshop is free and open to the public with funding provided by a grant from the Athol Cultural Council. Space is limited! Call the library today at 978-249-9515 to reserve your spot and get ready to create the life you always dreamed of!
