Summer Reading

Summer Reading 2026 runs from June 22 to August 14, 2026!

We’re excited to announce this summer’s theme of Plant a Seed, Read! We hope you’ll join us.

Our summer reading theme and activities are rooted in the concept of seeds and growth:

A farm grows food that nourishes our bodies; a library grows ideas that nourish our minds. Both food and stories connect us to our family, society, economy, and ecology.

Plant a Seed, Read will give our community opportunities to explore culture, nature, history, and human connection.

Click the images above for all the details on how to record your reading, find a book, learn about our museum passes and win prizes this summer. It's fun and it's free for all!
